Trivia and Playlist

1. I started writing The Wild One on my birthday, when the best birthday gift I had hoped for was for New York Knicks to match Houston Rockets offer to Jeremy Lin. In fact, Lin should be Suri's love interest. However, it all changed when my intuition whispered to me, saying "Make Heechul Suri's ex boyfriend," and I did.

2. I first imagined Ara and Kini to be fighting over Heechul as implied on the first episode. But I gave up on the idea, fortunately, dreams were valid excuse.

3. It was a challenge writing about four girls. I had already introduced Suri, Helen and Ara and their characters but Kini was still waiting in the corner. An idea popped out, a very interesting idea.  Why not made her Suri's little sister who slept with a stranger.

4. I was torn between Heechul and Sungjoon to play the role of stranger.

Sungjoon wins!!!

5. I never planned to include Donghae in the story. However, it was too early for Siwon and Helen to have a happy ending, so I added a character to spice up their lives.

6. My original plan after making Heechul as Suri's ex boyfriend was for him to ask a big favor, that only Suri could do. Suri, as a writer in Times could feature his secret. Heechul was supposed to be gay and he wanted to come out. However, I saw a very manly picture of Heechul in the military, after that, I never planned to bring back Jeremy Lin in the picture.

7. Like Donghae, Kai was added on the spur of the moment. There were times that I liked Ara to end up with him. However, recalling the Handel and Gretel moments and to follow the law of Universe, it had to be Yesung. I had no choice but to kill him and made him into Kibum's apprentice, since Ara's feeling for Yesung and Kai was vague.

Kai: My ex girlfriend would  always ask me to sing it for her.
                                                      Ara: Why that song?
                                                      Kai: Because she’s a noona.

8. The easiest episode to write was Wild Past. It was like telling your story to a friend. I wrote it  when I couldn't sleep and totally excited to let my readers know the reason behind Helen's attitude towards Siwon.

"When I saw you, I fell in love. You smiled because you knew."
"I appreciate the things you’ve done for me. And for the things that I inspired you to do. But, please don’t act as if I need to love you back.”

9. My Favorites

Episode: Wild Deja vu because it has a theme. It took me two hours to complete Helen's part here because I really had no idea what to do with her after her lunch with Donghae and Siwon. Good thing, a  light bulb had appeared before I gave up and Throwing Lines was invented.

I love you.” Siwon started, looking intently into Helen’s eyes.
“Ha?” Helen was taken aback. She wasn’t sure if she had read it on the script. But she replied. “I love you too.” Its not the script but her heart. She bowed her head to escape from Siwon’s eyes but the latter held her chin up. Suddenly kissed her.
“Why did you do that?” Helen asked. Her voice was trembling.
“The script told me.” Siwon answered. Helen met his gaze. One thing she knew, she couldn’t follow the script anymore. She wanted to follow her heart.
“The script asked me to kiss you back.” And she kissed him.

“When you left for New York, my life became miserable. I hate waking up, I find it hard to sleep. I want to go there and drag you away back here. For more than a thousand days, it always been like that. Now, you’re here. I want to wake up seeing first your face, I want to sleep with my arms around you. I want little Heechul and little Suri to play around my house. I will give them gift a father could best offer. I will love their mother, every single day.”

“You may not be perfect but you’re beyond beautiful.”

Character: Sungjoon. I really loved how his character developed in the story. From a stranger, he turned out to be a Knight. Who would have thought this Knight could draw and create the sweetest and most romantic sketchpad.

How many times have I watched you sleeping? Will you also dream about me if I keep on watching you? Wake up sleeping beauty! Will you wake up if I kiss you?”

Style: Episode 25, Suri. This is the only episode I wrote in the first person point of view to create a more depressing impact. It was a really sad episode with Heechul's death. Actually, this could be the last episode if I really wanted the story to end as tragic: Heechul died, Siwon was still missing, we had no idea what would happen to Ara and Yesung, same with Kini and Sungjoon.

“Kim Heechul, are you doing well?”

But I love fairy tales and I believe in...

Indeed, Siwon and Helen found each other again.

Is it a new Hello for Donghae and Suri?

10. On the Spot

Here are the turn of events that happened without prior notice to my imagination :)

Almost everything!!! Except for Kibum's revelation :) Apparently, it is a free-flowing fan fiction.

11. When I wrote about Kini's heart attack, considering her love for Heechul, the character who supposed to die for her was Suri. It changed when I realized the potential in Kini-Sungjoon love story. Another thing, since Episode 10, when I introduced Mystery Man in the story, I had foreseen a new start for Suri and Donghae.

12. I intended to write 20 episodes but it was extended because as I have said, it is a free-flowing fan fiction resulting from my fickle creative imagination. There were two episodes that I deleted: Wild Reunion and Wild Thoughts, they came after Wild Date II. After writing those two episodes, I suffered from Writer's block and it was too boring to continue.

13. The Wild One is a fan fiction. I consider this a Super Junior fan fiction because the main characters are Siwon, Heechul, Kibum, Donghae, Yesung. In fact, I have dedicated an episode where all the members are present, plus the chocoballs. On the other hand, Helen, Suri, Ara and Kini exist in real life too :)
