Wild Reunion

Note : The Wild One was intended to be written with 20 episodes - 10 for the first part and another 10 for the second. The first part ended with Wild Date II and this episode came after as the first of The Wild One II, thus it's originally introduced as The Wild One II : Wild Reunion.

I feel the same way… I have a crush on myself too. It crossed her mind again for a hundredth time. Kibum oppa, stop kidding me like that. I almost believed it. Kini told herself in frustration, she tapped her head repeatedly. Aigoo, he’s driving me crazy! she blurted out. It didn’t suffice her embarrassment, she kicked at the air, inadvertently it hit Sungjoon.

“Aw! Ya Jang Kini! What’s wrong with you?” Sungjoon crouched in pain, caressing his shin.

“Sungjoon-a I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.” she said, then moved closer to Sungjoon trying to remedy the situation but he shooed her away.

“Is it because of Kim Kibum?” he asked, still focused on his shin. It surprised Kini, her eyes were magnified.

“How do you know him?” Kini pried. She was anxious to know.

“Aigoo, here we are again. Jang Kini you talk in your sleep. And you talk aloud! I could hear you from my room.” Sungjoon said. There was a complaint in his voice. Kini just rolled her eyes on him and pursed her lips.

“Ya, you two! Its very early for lover’s quarrel!” Heechul butted in, straight-faced.

“Hyung/Oppa!!!” the two disagreed. Of course.

“Okay, follow me in the car.” Heechul said and went out.

It was the first day of rehearsal for Yesung’s concert. Heechul had been planning for it for a long time, even the date. While Suri was still in Seoul. And what more could he ask for other than the serendipity of getting Helen to perform, then Siwon since they would promote their upcoming series in SBS.

He was humming a happy song while driving. First, he was really happy. Second, to lighten the mood of the two people in the backseat. The front seat was occupied by a bouquet of flowers superbly arranged. Then, they made the first stop-over, Itaewon Entire Apartment. Suri was impatiently standing in the waiting shed.

“Good morning, My Suri.” Heechul said lowering the side mirror.

“Ya, Kim Heechul! I thought I was going to stand here forever-” Suri trailed off when she noticed the flowers on her seat. She opened the door and clambered in. “Is this for me?” her voice became calmer and more feminine.

“No, that’s for Helen.” Heechul answered abruptly, testing Suri’s reaction. He received a deadly frown. “Of course, its for you.” Then he grinned his white teeth.

“Okay then, thank you.” Suri said, trying to hide her smile. Then, he drove off.

Yesung’s concert was going to happen in Seoul Olympic Stadium. Heechul was targeting 70,000 attendees. Probably, 60% ELFs, 15% Clouds, 15%Petals and 10% Highness, Helen’s fan club. The concert was more bankable now.

The car stopped in SM Entertainment center in Apgujeong-dong that would provide them rehearsal studios. Inside, the concert staff had started working, sharing their creative juices. Yesung was talking to a group of staff, the conversation was held in small voices. Time to time, they would glance at Ara who was busy discussing details with the production manager. Siwon was silently reading a bible in one corner. He was also silently waiting for someone. Then, the door opened, Siwon suddenly stopped reading. To his dismay, it was Heechul with Suri, Kini and Sungjoon. It wasn’t that someone.

“Everyone! Thank you for coming in so early.” Heechul excitedly told the staff. For a moment they stopped to smile at Heechul, their smiles became wider, when Helen sprang out from the door. Everyone was very delighted to see her, including Siwon. “Gongju-a! You’re here.” Heechul greeted Helen and embraced her, swinging their bodies waiting for Suri’s reaction. She never failed him.

“Kim Heechul! Behave!” Suri exclaimed, driving Heechul away of Helen. “Gongju-ssi!!!” They hugged each other like they were inseparable.

“Can I join?” Ara chimed in. Then she was welcomed in the arms of her two best friends.

Lunch time. The studio was almost empty except for the catch-up stories shared by Suri, Helen and Ara. On the other hand, Kini was sulking in one corner, she barely touched her food.

“Should I text him? Like say hi?” This had been Kini’s problem since morning. Kibum was driving her crazy.

“Wait, I’ll go to the washroom.” Helen said and motioned to the door. She was about to touch the doorknob when the door opened for her. It was Siwon. They gazed at each other for a moment. Then, Siwon stepped to the right, and Helen stepped to her left. So, Siwon moved to his left, but Helen to her right. They were blocking each other’s way. It was really awkward, it made them smile, lessening the tension between them. Siwon stood out of the way for Helen. She bowed in return and headed off.

“Gongju-ssi, are you leaving now?” Siwon asked.

“No. I’m just going to the washroom.” Helen said and Siwon smiled in relief.

Kini diverted her attention to sketching stage design; Heechul hired her as an assistant stage designer. Then, she noticed someone was watching her intently. It was Ara. She just gave her a smile then sketched again.

“Ara ssi, what are you thinking?” Helen asked. She just returned from the washroom and looking fresh… and glowing.

“I dreamt of Kini. In my dream she welcomed Heechul oppa from military. You know, 80% of my dreams come true.” Ara told her, still deep in thought.

“I don’t think so.” Helen said, gesturing to Heechul snogging Suri in one corner.

Outside the studio…

Yesung decided to go out for a walk. He missed his turtles back home. Then, he noticed a strange kid wandering around, reading every room number.

“Excuse me, how may I help you?” Yesung warmly asked with a smile. The kid craned back to meet his eyes. It was a jolt to him. Director Seo’s toyboy!
